Hi I am Jody, the artist behind the easel & I have 2 lively children, Tayla & Jackson, who have been my inspiration for the kids wall art range and my business. Painting bees and ladybirds 8 years ago for Tayla’s arrival was the beginning of the business and now with Jacksons input I find myself painting diggers, planes and boats to his delight!
With much demand for the kids wall art, ‘jody g’ was born and now I enjoy building the brand, meeting families, getting feedback and developing ideas and the wall art range. Plus luckily I get to combine motherhood and a lifestyle of painting.
...Apart from this I am kept busy with the retail side of ‘jody g’ ...you can find gift cards and xmas cards in selected Hallmark Cards outlets.
Always popular is my ‘jody g’ Kiwiana calendar which features favourite kiwi icons from pavlovas and pohutkawas to pukekos. This has also proved to be great posting to overseas friends and families. Be in quick at the retail outlets as it sells out fast!

The product: Stretched canvas, acrylic paint and time!
These paintings arrive to you ready for hanging. The wall art designs go around the edge of each work giving a 3D effect (the painting sits out up to 3.5cm deep from the wall) so there is no need for a frame. I use fade resistant water based acrylic paint (so naturally keep away from water!).
Each wall art painting is hand painted individually so no two will exactly match. I am happy to adapt the colours of the paintings to match colours and fabrics you may have. Orders often can be painted within the same week.

CONTEMPORARY ART (for adults)
In my spare time you can find me fulfilling my other passion of engaging in contemporary art under another name ‘Hope Gibbons’. It’s distinctively different to my other work and uses mixed media; paint, bitumen, silver & gold leaf and plaster.
I regularly have shows and exhibitions including a recent successful sellout show at Ponsonby’s ‘Letham Gallery’
